Panel 2 : After a few hours, sunlight causes the water to evaporate, removing the weight so the spring pops up, spins the dynamo, and charges the battery. FREE ENERGY!

Why it won't work?

Because I'm a furry porn artist. not an engineer. And secondly, you cannot put out more energy than you give in. The spring acts as the battery here. They don't create energy out of thin air, they just store it. When the water ( very slowly) evaporates, it does releases energy to turn the dynamo. but someone has to refill the resevoir, using their own energy.

But we can hook it up to a waterfall!

Congratulations! you just created a hydroelectric dam. But in reverse. and very slowly, and works only if there's sunlight, and a sufficiently a warm weather.
